Katrín Grétarsdóttir is the founder of Flókakonan.

She began creating crafts of all kinds at a young age, and her passion for creativity has stayed with her ever since. In 2012, this passion became her full-time career when she founded the family business Flókakonan ehf., opening her own craft workshop and store

All works by Flókakonan are original, handmade crafts crafted from 100% Icelandic wool. Most ideas are inspired by Icelandic folklore creatures, elves, animals, or Icelandic culture and heritage. She places great emphasis on making each piece with care to capture the special atmosphere that characterizes Icelandic folktales

Her work can be found at major tourist destinations and gift shops across the country. Through her craftsmanship, Katrín brings a piece of Icelandic cultural heritage into homes all over the world
